Version 5 is the brainchild of a couple of music maniacs from Minneapolis Andy & Spencer Olson. In 2018, The brothers teamed up with the drummer from down under AJ Rowe. All three together deliver shaking beats of electronic music and with a dose of raw energy of rock music. Version 5 or [v5] combine elements from genres of music including EDM/Electro-Punk world and the Rock/Industrial world to create something truly their own which creates and infectious combination that is perfect for fans of Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy and Linkin Park. Version 5 unique sound quickly caught the attention of multi-platinum A&R/producer Jeff Blue that has worked with Macy Gray and Linkin Park and in 2015 they released their debut EP which was co-produced by Blue.

On January 12th, 2018 Version 5 dropped Why Don't You Drop. Produced by Emmy-winning Triglass Productions, Directed by Ryan Thielen & made possible by Jeff Feltmann. Why Don't You Drop had a slew of kick starter backers that without them the video wouldn't have been possible.
